Yadira Villarreal was born and raised in Brownsville and is proud to consider herself bilingual and bicultural. Growing up in the Cameron County housing projects, Ms. Villarreal knew from an early age that sacrifices was the key to success.
She began her legal career as a receptionist for a personal injury firm and was quickly promoted to paralegal where she gained experience and knowledge in handling personal injury cases. During that time, Ms. Villarreal worked full-time, while attending night classes at the University of Texas at Brownsville, all while raising her small children.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree, she sacrificed time away from her children and attended law school at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. During her time in law school, Mrs. Villarreal clerked for a personal injury firm and thereby cementing her passion for advocacy and focused her studies in Trial Advocacy coursework.
Ms. Villarreal is a tenacious lawyer that is dedicated to representing accident and injury victims as well as parties in family law disputes in her hometown, Brownsville, and now in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
As a paralegal, Ms. Villarreal handled hundreds of cases on both personal injury and family cases at her previous firms and now as an attorney is dedicated in personally conducting thorough investigations for each and every case to give her client’s the best representation for their cases.
Ms. Villarreal has experience in the courtroom as well as has settled numerous cases bringing favorable resolutions to her clients. Ms. Villarreal has a reputation for zealously representing her clients. In fact, within two weeks of becoming an attorney in November, 2016, Ms. Villarreal tried her first case before a jury.
Perhaps equally important is that Ms. Villarreal record of accomplishment coincides with her personal responsibilities as a parent of three young children, which contributes to the empathy she brings in counseling the families that seek her help.
