Jose Salazar is an Enrolled Agent (EA) licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. He has over 25 years of experience as a Revenue Agent with the IRS and has been in private practice since retiring in June 2009. Mr. Salazar has represented taxpayers in numerous tax audits and the Appeals Process involving tax and collection issues and Offers in Compromise.

Mr. Salazar is knowledgeable in all types of personal and business entities and “RED Flags” (a term use by the IRS to identify tax returns to audit). He served as an OJI (On the Job Instructor) for lower grade agents and as a government witness in various cases in Tax Court and Bankruptcy Court.

Mr. Salazar has an associate degree in Data Processing from San Antonio College and a Business Degree, with a major in Accounting, from Texas Lutheran University. He also completed various graduate classes at Texas A & M University to enhance his auditing and tax knowledge.

In addition to his IRS experience, Mr. Salazar was a part-time accounting and income tax instructor at Del Mar Community College for 10 years.

Mr. Salazar is a United States Air Force Vietnam-era veteran, a practicing Catholic, and married with two grown children and one granddaughter. His current clients are located in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Fort Worth and Dallas.
